First Posts Are Always Awkward.

I hate making first posts on blogs. I never know what to say, seeing as 1. No one reads this blog (yet) and 2. You know you have to set up for "what kind of blog you are" and that is always strange.

How about a little backstory, or "why am I putting my life/thoughts on the internet." I am a 25 year old living in Portland, Oregon. Two years ago, I graduated college with a Bachelors in Apparel Design. I have spent the last two years unable to find a job to support myself other than retail, and have been laying on my parents couch crying. 

I recently made a promise to myself to stop doing this and not waste the five years I spent in college and to actually do some work myself, since that generally is what you have to do when you pick a field like the one that I did. And since I never actually do anything unless I wrote it down or tell others, this blog is to serve that purpose. I am beyond terrified of changing my stubborn ways, and I'm sure I'm not done crying, but at least I will have a little comfort in not hiding it anymore.
